I was born and raised in Los Angeles’s San Fernando Valley, the child of immigrants from Iran. I left LA for the Bay Area in 2017 to attend UC Berkeley, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics, and I now live in Oakland.
My personal and professional interests lie in the fields of statistics, politics, geography, and demography, particularly in these fields’ intersections.
In my free time, I’m usually either reading or writing about the aforementioned subjects or somewhere in the outdoors—whether a few minutes from home or hundreds of miles away on a road trip. I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and other outdoor activities, and no matter what I’m doing, I’m always taking photos along the way.
